At Greenfield Water, we believe that trust begins with transparency. Every system we offer is built from components that have been tested, verified, and selected with the highest standards of safety and integrity in mind. Our goal is simple: to give you water you can feel confident drinking and proud to share.
Certified and tested for proven performance
The filters used in Greenfield systems are either certified by NSF International or tested by independent laboratories to meet or exceed relevant NSF/ANSI standards. These certifications and test results confirm effective contaminant reduction and material safety for drinking water.
Every filter in our whole home and under sink systems, and every gravity feed filter option, has been tested and verified for performance and safety, and meets some or all of the following NSF/ANSI standards:
- NSF/ANSI 42: reduction of chlorine, taste, and odor, and improvement of overall water aesthetics
- NSF/ANSI 53: reduction of contaminants with known health impacts such as lead, PFAS, VOCs, and cysts
- NSF/ANSI 61: verification that materials in contact with water are safe and non-leaching
These standards represent rigorous, widely recognized benchmarks for water treatment. They are based on independent verification by accredited laboratories. Each certification requires testing under defined conditions to confirm a filter’s ability to reduce specified contaminants over its rated service life.
This process includes evaluations for both performance and safety, from ensuring materials do not leach harmful substances into the water to verifying that reduction performance is maintained after prolonged use. Products that meet or exceed NSF standards demonstrate measurable, third party validated performance, providing assurance that what is on the label has been proven in the lab.
Quality that extends beyond the filter
The main components of Greenfield systems, including our filter housings, are sourced in the United States and Europe. Each housing is tested for material safety, structural strength, and resistance to pressure changes. Many are certified or compliant for potable water use in North America, Europe, and Australia under standards such as NSF/ANSI 61, WaterMark, and ACS.
Our primary sourcing partners maintain internationally recognized certifications:
- ISO 9001:2015 for quality management
- ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management
- ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety
These frameworks help ensure that the systems we offer reflect not only performance excellence but also responsible, sustainable production.
Built to last and evolve
