PureSync Home™ Systems
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers below apply to both PureSync Home™ and PureSync Home Lite™, with notes where the systems differ.
Can the system be installed outside?
No. PureSync Home™ systems should be installed indoors only, such as in a garage, utility room, basement, or other protected space. Sunlight, weather exposure, and freezing temperatures can damage system components.
Will my water pressure or flow slow down?
PureSync Home™ systems are designed to support strong whole-home flow for most homes up to approximately 3 bathrooms. Actual flow will vary based on plumbing size, incoming pressure, water quality, filter condition, and maintenance schedule.
Does the system soften water?
No. PureSync Home™ systems are not water softeners and do not remove beneficial minerals. If softening is needed, a separate softener or descaler may be installed before or after the filtration system depending on your home’s plumbing and water quality needs.
What contaminants do the systems address?
PureSync Home™ systems are designed to reduce a broad range of common household water contaminants, with available third-party lab testing supporting many reduction claims.
- Chlorine and chloramine
- VOCs and THMs
- PFAS including PFOA and PFOS
- Fluoride
- Lead, mercury, and arsenic
- Pesticides, herbicides, and industrial contaminants
- Pharmaceuticals and personal care product residues
- Sediment, rust, and turbidity
Actual performance may vary depending on water chemistry, flow rate, plumbing conditions, filter condition, and maintenance schedule.
How do PureSync Home™ and PureSync Home Lite™ differ?
Both systems are designed for whole-home use, city or well water, and homes up to approximately 3–4 bathrooms. The main difference is filtration configuration:
- PureSync Home™: our most comprehensive whole-home system, with a three-stage contaminant reduction configuration plus sediment pre-filtration.
- PureSync Home Lite™: a more streamlined and budget-friendly option, with a two-stage contaminant reduction configuration plus sediment pre-filtration.
Why pair a whole-home system with an undersink filter?
Whole-home filtration supports water quality throughout the home, including showers, laundry, and appliances. An undersink system adds focused filtration at the kitchen tap, where water is most often used for drinking and cooking.
How often should I replace the filters?
Main filtration stages should typically be replaced every 6–12 months depending on usage and water quality. Sediment filters should generally be replaced every 3 months or as needed.
How do I know when it is time to replace filters?
- Noticeable reduction in flow
- Change in taste or odor
- Unusual sediment or discoloration
- Positive chlorine strip test at a tap downstream of the system
Do I need a plumber to replace filters?
No. Many customers replace their filters themselves. Others prefer to have a plumber handle replacement for convenience.
Who installs the system?
We recommend installation by a licensed plumber. Greenfield Water Solutions does not provide installation services.
What warranty and returns apply?
- Returns: unused products may be returned within 30 days. Shipping is excluded and restocking fees may apply.
- Filter cartridges: covered by a 30-day warranty from delivery for arrival condition and expected performance when installed according to guidelines.
- System housings: covered by a 5-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Damage from freezing, improper installation, excessive pressure, neglect, or misuse is not covered.
What kind of long-term support can I expect?
We provide ongoing support for troubleshooting, maintenance, filter replacement, and performance questions. Our systems are designed with long-term serviceability in mind so customers can continue receiving support as filtration technology evolves.
