How AquaMetix Filtration Works
AquaMetix filtration technology
combines activated carbon with
specialized adsorptive filtration
media to address different
water quality concerns.
Activated Carbon Filtration
Activated carbon helps reduce
chlorine, certain organic compounds,
and substances responsible for
unpleasant taste and odor.
Its porous structure provides
a large surface area for
adsorption of certain
chemical contaminants.
Specialized Adsorptive Media
AquaMetix also incorporates
specialized media designed
for additional contaminant
reduction applications,
including fluoride and
certain heavy metals.
The combination provides
broader filtration capabilities
than conventional carbon
filtration alone.
Mineral Preservation
AquaMetix does not intentionally
remove most naturally occurring
dissolved minerals, such as
calcium and magnesium.
Unlike reverse osmosis,
the filtration process does
not rely on a membrane
that separates water from
most dissolved mineral content.
Contaminant Reduction & Laboratory Testing
AquaMetix filtration technology
has been evaluated through
laboratory testing for
a range of water
quality contaminants.
Available testing documentation
includes applications involving:
- Fluoride
- Lead and certain other heavy metals
- Chlorine
- Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- Other contaminants identified in the applicable test report
Understanding Test Results
Laboratory testing is performed
under defined conditions,
including specific flow rates,
contaminant concentrations,
and cartridge configurations.
Results from one cartridge
configuration do not necessarily
establish identical reduction
performance for every
AquaMetix cartridge size.
Actual performance may vary
depending on source water
quality, flow rate,
contaminant concentrations,
water consumption,
and filter maintenance.
For detailed information
about documented contaminant
reduction, please review
the laboratory report below.

Filter Replacement & Maintenance
For consistent filtration
performance, we generally
recommend replacing AquaMetix
cartridges approximately every
6–12 months,
depending on household water
consumption and incoming
water quality.
Replacement frequency may
vary based on:
- Daily water consumption
- Incoming contaminant concentrations
- Water pressure and flow rate
- Sediment levels
- Cartridge size and rated capacity
Higher water consumption
or challenging incoming
water conditions may
require more frequent
replacement.
Changes in taste, odor,
or water flow may indicate
that a cartridge needs
attention, but these
changes are not reliable
indicators of every
contaminant.
Always follow the appropriate
installation, flushing,
and replacement instructions
for your filtration system.
Installation & Important Compatibility Notes
These AquaMetix cartridges
are designed for compatible
pressurized filtration systems.
Before purchasing, verify
that your selected cartridge
matches your existing

Water filters quickly, easy to install and I love how it helps filter fluoride without an additional filter!

I haven’t tested the filtered water so can’t say definitively how clean it is compared to what is coming into the house. It does taste clean
