Doulton, Cerametix, and Aquametix will all address Fluoride. The Nano-Fiber filter has not yet been tested for fluoride removal but it will address Fluoride to some extent.

HOW LONG DO THE GRAVITY FEED FILTERS LAST?

Doulton filters will last approximately 800 gallons with 2 filters, Cerametix filters will last approx 1000 gallons with 2 filters, Aquametix filters will last approximately 750 gallons with 2 filters. Nano-Fiber filters will last approximately 2500 gallons per 1 filter. Please note, replacement time will vary based on water dynamics/usage. Average replacement timeframe is 6-12 months.

IF I LEAVE TOWN CAN I LEAVE MY FILTERS IN THE GRAVITY FEED?

If filters will be unused for an extended period of time, empty the reservoir of water and remove the filters. Rinse them, let them dry, and store them in a cool, dark place. When you’re ready to use them again, simply rinse them and re-install. Re-priming is not needed. 

CAN I USE A RED-DYE TEST WITH THESE FILTERS?

Red-dye tests are not recommended as they are ineffective and will damage the filters, potentially making them unusable. Chlorine test strips can be purchased and used to gauge when replacement is needed, many times you will notice the taste of the water change when filters are at the end of their life.
